Are you a qualified healthcare professional? Are you interested in integrating yoga strategies into your clinical or community practice? If so, read on about an exciting new training opportunity just for you.
🌟 Embark on the Study of Therapeutic Yoga Practices for Healthcare Providers
Due to increasing awareness of yoga and its therapeutic effects, the demand for incorporating yoga strategies and psychology into clinical settings has never been greater. To address this need, the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) and YogaX have created an educational opportunity specifically tailored to Qualified Healthcare Professionals (QHPs).
IAYT has created a new 300-hour pathway for qualified healthcare professionals to gain a solid foundation in yoga principles and practical applications within a holistic approach to patient care. This IAYT-accredited pathway allows healthcare professionals to earn an IAYT-Q credential that certifies that they have gained the therapeutic yoga skills necessary to bring yoga strategies into their extant healthcare practice.
YogaX is the first yoga therapy school to be accredited under this pathway and is now offering the only 300-hour pathway for healthcare professionals that leads to the new IAYT-Q credential. This innovative YogaX program is a pathway designed to equip and empower QHPs with the knowledge and skills needed to integrate therapeutic yoga practices seamlessly into their scope of practice.
🌟 Fostering an Integrated Holistic Approach to Patient Care
The YogaX IAYT-Q 300-Hour program, "Integrated Holistic Yoga Therapeutics in Healthcare", is a flexible hybrid program (partially in-person; partially synchronously online) that emphasizes the fusion of yoga's ancient wisdom with modern science. According to Christiane Brems, PhD, ABPP, ERYT500, C-IAYT, Director of YogaX and the IAYT-accredited program, describes the goal of a therapeutic yoga pathway for QHPs as the cultivation of a resilient healthcare ecosystem that prioritizes integrated and holistic wellbeing for patients and care providers alike.
🌟 Shaping the Future of Therapeutic Education: YogaX Pilot Study Insights
The YogaX program underwent a pilot review by IAYT and was accredited as of January 1, 2024. The joint IAYT/YogaX pilot was instrumental in shaping and refining accreditation standards, educational competencies, and the accreditation process for this new level of therapeutic education. This initiative is set to establish recognition for providers who successfully complete this training program.
