Trauma-Informed Yoga Certificate

The YogaX Trauma-Informed Yoga (TIY) Certificate is a comprehensive training program designed to equip yoga professionals, healthcare providers, and mental health professionals with the specialized skills to bring trauma-sensitive practices into their communities. This certificate provides an integrative approach to trauma-informed yoga, offering the tools needed to create inclusive, safe, and healing environments for individuals who have experienced trauma.

Why Trauma-Informed Yoga?

Trauma can affect every aspect of a person’s life—mind, body, and spirit. Trauma-Informed Yoga (TIY) is a holistic approach that takes into account the unique needs of people experiencing various forms of trauma by creating a supportive, empowering space for healing. Unlike conventional yoga, which may inadvertently trigger trauma symptoms, TIY fosters a sense of safety, control, and body awareness that allows individuals to reclaim their bodies and begin the journey of recovery.

The YogaX TIY Certificate not only helps teachers and providers understand trauma, but it also provides practical strategies for integrating trauma-informed yoga into clinical settings, private practice, and community spaces. Through trauma-conscious movement, breathwork, and mindfulness, participants will gain the tools necessary to guide people experiencing various forms of trauma toward resilience and self-regulation.
